The workshops will be given according to the schedule below.
At all other times, Discord (online) will assist you with questions and answers and practical training individually or in small groups. Discord is divided into levels. It is also possible to reserve the time in advance.
For those who are new to Max, we will explain very basic usage of Max and what you can do with Max.
Masatsune Yoshio
We will explain in an easy-to-understand manner how sounds can be produced by MIDI and how numerical values can be manipulated.
Masatsune Yoshio
We will explain in an easy-to-understand manner how sound can be produced by audio (audio processing). You will also learn how to make the simple patches needed for MSP.
Masatsune Yoshio
In addition to the methods we have done so far, we will explain the basics of how Jitter can handle images.

We will explain Max and MSP according to the intermediate level. We will mainly talk about how to process the input data and how to convert it into sound and images.

Next, I will explain Max and MSP according to the intermediate level. We will mainly talk about how to process the input data and how to convert it into sound and video. In particular, I will explain how to handle the mapping interface.
Suguru Goto
We will focus on the algorithmic composition. In particular, we would like to introduce the Bach library https://www.bachproject.net)
Suguru Goto
We will explain how to recognize gestures in relation to the second mapping interface. We mainly introduce Mubu (https://forum.ircam.fr/projects/detail/mubu/).

In this advanced course, Atau Tanaka, David Fierro and Francesco Di Maggio will present their work in the Brain Body Digital Musical Instrument (BBDMI) at the MSH Paris Nord and Université Paris 8. The will present the use of novel sensor interfaces to detect electyromyogram (EMG) muscle tension and signal processing of the physiological signal in Max. They will present the use of Interactive Machine Learning to create neural network regression mapping using the rapidmax object and other externals in Max. They will present the spatial control and composition of sound using Ambisonics via the HOA Library and interfaces between Max and the FAUST programming environment.
